Q: Why are you using sprites
to make an RPG style comic?
A: What I am trying to accomplish
here would not be the same if I used anything other than sprites.
You see I look back on the days of long past and have fond memories myself
running through sunny corn fields, having a cool afternoon swim in
the village broke, seeing who could jump the farthest off the old escarpment,
but most of all, I remember my video games. Such games as FF IV,
FF VI, Legend of Mana and Chrono trigger, the classics. I want to
use these sprites and create another adventure. Aside from the main
story line there will also be special comics with humor or purpose.
Q: It seems kinda
strange though. Aren't you just ripping off Square
?
A: It's true that I
am using Square's sprites, but I take no credit for them, in hopes that
I won't be sued for what I'm doing, but I'll also bring to your attention
the fact that under the Fair Use Rule of the United States Copyright Act
of 1976, they certainly wouldn't have any grounds to sure me on anyway.
Q: So does that answer
your question?
A: Yeah I guess so.
But hey! I'm suppose to be asking the questions.
A: Yes you're quite
right.
Q: So back to the questions
shall we?
A: Sure. What
do you wanna ask?
Q: Uh, let's see.
I know! Why are you accepting donations for your comic as well as
allowing people to advertise for money on your site.
A: I am accepting donations
for the purpose of bettering the comic experience for you. The add
is for others to better their sites for you as well. You see the
more exposure you get for your site, then usually that means you'll get
more traffic. Traffic is a good thing. I'm not a sellout!
If that is what you were hinting at. You don't have to give me any
money if you don't want, but I do spend a lot of time on these comics remember,
so any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Q: Ok sorry, that completely
explains it. You are a very good person. My next question is:
Where do you get the ideas for your comic?
A: Pretty much all of
it comes from my head. You may recognize some references to varies
RPG'S in the jokes though. But basically everything about the story
is original content.
Q: What program do
you use to make your comics?
A: I use Paint Shop Pro.
Q: Isn't making sprite
comics a dreadfully easy task?
A: Yes and no.
It can take up anywhere from 15 minutes or less to 5 hours maybe longer
to get a comic finished not including thinking of the story which can also
take up extended periods of time. It all depends on what I'm trying
to express in that particular comic. Basically it all boils down
to personal preference, that is, if
you like good art or good story/ humour.
Q: I really like your comic!
Can I put your link on my site?
A: Yes you can.
Here are the banners that are available to for you as of this time.
If my site becomes more well known I suppose I'll have to make more "professional"
looking banners.
Q: Tell me about it!
Those banners blow!
A: Hey come on now.
Q: No seriouly.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: That's it!
I don't like the tone of your voice!
Q: H- hey what're
you thinking!?
A: I'm thinking... THIS!...
Q: Ahhhhhhghgh!
Ahhhh! Blargh! I can not longer breath nor talk!
A: If you have any more
questions you can contact me here
by email or here
at the forum.
